We’re Joanna & Nathan — we’re a married couple living in a wee cottage on the Isle of Skye. Over the years we’ve modelled for Photographers, Videographers & Workshops in lots of beautiful corners of the world!

Last year Joanna was diagnosed with a Chronic Illness and in the interest of allowing us more room to slow down we’d love to take on more modelling shoots allowing us more time in nature and a little less time behind screens to balance out with our own photography work and the many hours we spend behind screens!

You can choose from the collections below which you feel would be most suited to the vision you’re hoping to execute - we of course know this is such a collaborative experience so if there’s anything more specific you’re dreaming up then let us know and we can curate a custom quote for you.

CHOOSE ANY ADD ONS

We have a couple of add ons depending on the kind of vision you’re hoping for / if this is for a workshop and you’d also like education from us too!

BOOK US IN

To secure your date we’ll take a 50% non-refundable booking fee along with a signed contract and booking form and then the remaining balance will be due one month before our adventure together takes place. If booking within one month the full cost will be due upon booking. Due to the nature of our work it may be that we agree on a week allowing us the space to still take an Elopement booking during that week if it’s a fully open week!

TIME TO ADVENTURE

We’re now a team. We’ll Adventure together, roaming the hills, soaking in the scenery and doing all we can to help bring your vision to life.

Slow & Intentional - Honest & Authentic.

We’re slow and intentional in all we do. Deeply inspired by cinema, art, poetry, slow mornings, watching the sea — if you have any ideas inspired by anything we’d love to connect with your inspirations and allow that to flow into our work together.

Likewise if you’d like anything from us in terms of getting to know more about us and our story so you can bring out elements of storytelling into your work then please do let us know!

We’re super passionate about being authentic and know that authenticity even in styled sessions is important for portraying an honest experience to your couples. So anything we can do to feed into that please let us know.

Concepts & Activities

Let’s make art together.

We know that getting to do a styled shoot whether that be a couples shoot or styled wedding or elopement shoot is a HUGE investment for you and so we absolutely want you to feel so creatively inspired to explore new concepts you may have in mind!

Some fun ideas:

  • Slow morning making coffee

  • Boat trip

  • Wild Swimming

  • Picnic

A couple of things to note:

  • Joanna has a huge fear of fire so please no fire or open flames.

  • Joanna has Epilepsy so if we were to do Wild Swimming someone would need to be in the water with Joanna for safety (but we do adore wild swimming so definitely very open to this idea).

  • Again because Joanna has Epilepsy we can’t shoot super early in summer or be stood in any questionable places / do any questionable hikes - but we’re experts at Skye and know the best spots that are safe so feel free to lean on us for any location recommendations.

  • We kindly ask that you do share at least 20 images with us for us to use for marketing. Over the years we’ve worked with lots of photographers even for TFP where we haven’t seen a single photo and that ultimately has felt really disrespectful of our time. We’ve kept our modelling fees as cheap as we can but ultimately can only advertise our work as models with the photographs that are shared with us. If you’d rather not share any images with us we’d charge an extra £250.

Important Things to Note

Some things to think about in preparation.

  • Living on Skye we’re experts at knowing the best locations on Skye - feel free to send us over a moodboard and we can curate an itinerary that feels cohesive with your vision.

    Skye has some really incredible backdrops!

    We are super passionate about looking after the land and leaving no trace. Some locations on Skye that have been accessible for photoshoots in the past sadly are no longer suitable due to over tourism and ropes being put up. Please ensure you respect the land and don’t cross any ropes.

    For this reason we will not take you to the Fairy Glen, Fairy Pools or Old Man of Storr.

    The Quiriang is still safe to shoot at but from slightly different angles but we know the best hidden spots so feel free to lean on us for that.

    We would recommend looking at Torrin, Elgol, Camasunary, Ord, Dunscaith, Portree, Sligachan, Talisker Beach, Glenbrittle Beach & more of the south and west of Skye!

    We do also have some really unique gorgeous spots up our sleeves too.

  • Please send us any inspo pics for any attire ideas you have / your vision and we can offer guidance on location and send you some photos of possible outfits we have.

    For you as the photographer shooting here we’d highly recommend making sure you have sturdy shoes on (wellies, hiking boots, bloodstones, dr Martens etc) and to have a waterproof coat for both you and your camera.

  • Please feel free to tell us your wildest dreams for a photoshoot and we’ll see what we can do.

    Getting to do something styled is such a special opportunity for you to try something new and we’re always open to hear your ideas and do what we can to honestly and authentically help bring that to life.

  • Especially in locations in Scotland we’re very well versed in knowing what’s safe and what isn't, what’s allowed and what isn't. We want to make sure we respect the land so others can come and enjoy it for years to come so we won’t be picking flowers or allowing any kind of confetti shots or smoke bombs, nor will we cross over ropes or go places we know are off limits. Hope that’s okay!

Collection 1 - Workshop Bridal - £1500

Up to 6 Hours

We know for workshops you may want to portray an accurate representation of an Elopement / Wedding - 6 Hours will allow time for your vision to really come to life be that having elements of getting ready being captured, writing out vows, any ceremonial aspects plus time for adventure afterwards. This could also look like a section of time dedicated to a couples adventure session and then changing into bridal attire for a styled elopement section. We’re always open to your ideas.

Collection 2 - Workshop Couples Session - £750

Up to 3 Hours

We find that 3 hours is the perfect amount of time to allow a story to unfold. If you have any ideas for any concepts or locations let us know - we’re experts at Skye and can help curate a timeline that allows a diverse amount of locations if you’re wanting to walk away with a broad portfolio.

Collection 3 - Solo Photographer - Bridal or Couples - £500

Up to 2 Hours

2 Hours feels like the sweet spot for you as a solo photographer to really explore a location and capture its diversity along with documenting a story.

Collection 4 - Solo Photographer - Couple Session Only - £250

Up to 1 Hour - Isle of Skye ONLY - can only be booked within 1 month.

This is perfect for any photographer wanting to get a wee portfolio session in on Skye - send us over a mood board and we’ll curate an itinerary with a location that feels like it brings your vision to life.

ELEVATE YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Have Us Teach At Your Workshop

    £2950 - inclusive of an up to 2 Hour talk + leading a shoot (not inclusive of hiring models / attire)

  • Dress Hire

    I have the green floral dress on the left of this photo which is available for me to wear & I do have a wedding dress available for me to wear too (can send photos of this separately) but as these are more expensive dresses and their likelyhood to be used again I’d need to have these drycleaned. So there would be an additional fee of £150 for me to wear these.

  • 35mm Film

    £220 inclusive of TAX, VAT, Film Cost, Shipping Cost & Developing Cost

    Try your hand at 35mm Film photography - we’ll bring along one of our point and shoot cameras for you to shoot, we’ll take care of buying the film and sending off the film to be developed (so you don’t have to worry about airport scanners) and we’ll send you the uncropped TIFFs for you to edit if you so wish to!

  • Headshots

    Hand us over your camera for 30 mins at the end of our time together & we’ll take some headshots of you in the stunning backdrop.

    £350 - Your camera only

    £550 - Your camera + a roll of 35mm Film
