We hope you're doing well and looking forward to the holidays with the calm and chaos it all brings at once! Our first few months of marriage have been so fun and we're ready for the slowdown that winter brings to continue enjoying each other. 

The timing of these could not be more perfect as we're planning to send out save the dates for a small intimate reception that will be in the Spring. And we are absolutely blown away by our photos!

Last night, we poured a dram of Talisker Port, softly played our favorite Explosions in the Sky album, and were transported back to the Isle of Skye together. 

Your ability to capture a story between people all while creating a natural and calm space, is truly unmatched. To look at photos in such an incredible place and NOT have to say "these photos don't do it justice..." is honestly a first for me! These photos absolutely do it justice and that is purely because of the talent and expertise you both exude. Our experience with you was something that we'll remember for a lifetime, and looking back on these not only reminds us of what it all looked like- but what it felt like as well. It would be a DREAM to come visit every season and do this all over again! lol

We cannot recommend Joanna and Nathan enough! After randomly coming across their work on TikTok we immediately had our hearts set on them photographing our day. They are so incredibly friendly and sweet, on the day it felt like being with old friends rather than only having spoken a few times over video calls. I’m so sorry for the delay in letting you know we absolutely love our photos. I will write a more composed review later, but wanted you to know we are very happy. For me, it was catching the way Craig looks at me. My friends often comment on that but I don’t think I understood until seeing your photos. Our experience and the memories we now have is the best thing we could bring back from Scotland. Craig admits he enjoyed the trip more than expected and despite the weather. I’m so so missing Scotland and could be so happy living there or returning for an extended stay. It just felt right to me and I will definitely return!

So so glad we found these incredibly talented and equally lovely people to capture our wedding day. I have no words!! Thank you so much for all those pictures!! I had tears in my eyes when I first opened the gallery to see if it works and then again when watching the pictures! They are simply amazing!! Christoph and I watched the whole gallery together last night and were stunned! All the memories that came back and you both captured that day so perfectly! It looks sooo romantic and some pics are very Outlandish indeed! Can’t wait to watch the pictures again and to show them to our families and friends. Almost every woman who saw our preview started crying!! So I think the eye-watering will go on, haha! Joanna and Nathan captured our elopement in October 2022 with the most honest representation of our day we ever could have hoped.

From first contact they have been professional and approachable. You can tell that they are truly invested in your story and are genuinely beautiful souls. Throughout planning they were brilliant- being flexible when we changed location 5 months before the elopement and helping with a suggested time line for the day.

On the day it was like having old friends capture the day. Both of them quickly put us at ease so we didn’t feel awkward about a) being in front of the camera in the first place or b) that you’re in a wedding dress in sideways rain without a coat whilst a birder in all the ‘proper gear’ wishes you well!

Then the photos and video. Words do not do them justice. The teaser clip and initial photos were with us within a couple of days, with more photos than we were expecting. We were blown away. The full album arrived just before Christmas, like a wonderful early present. The video is more than we could’ve imagined and I am yet to watch it without laughing and crying. The photos - I am not sure how Joanna does it but she has captured the feeling of the day and the Isle of Mull.

I cannot recommend Joanna and Nathan enough. Thank you to you both.

You guys!! There are no words. We are absolutely in awe. These are just pure magic. I don’t know how you did it, but you guys were somehow able to capture the intimacy in such a way, that it feels like we’re right back there in those moments. That was literally the best day ever. When you guys would have us walk away from you, that’s when we would trade off with our vows, and I can see so many of those moments were captured here. We booked an Adventure Session with Joanna and Nathan in October last year. I can honestly say it was SUCH a fantastic investment!

Both myself and my husband feel very awkward in front of the camera, but Joanna made the session so fun and easy that we really didn’t feel awkward on the day at all! We look natural and like ourselves in every single one!

The photos are breathtaking - seriously. From the locations to the finer details Joanna captured, she really photographed us in a way that was “us”.

The stories that Joanna and Nathan capture are truly breathtaking. After stumbling across their work on Instagram I knew we HAD to connect with them while on break in Scotland. They put together a custom location guide and made the entire process so easy and fun. When we got our photos back I was completely blown away by how authentically they captured our relationship and the beauty of the Highlands. The photos were beautiful and everything I dreamed of, but getting to hang out and know Joanna and Nathan was the cherry on top. They make you feel like you have known each other for years and you forget the camera is even there. I cannot wait to recommend their services to all of our friends and family who travel there in the future.

Our day wouldn't have been the day it was without you two.

I know most people want their photographers and videographers to hide in the shadows somewhere but you were such a huge part of our day and we are so grateful to have had you with us to capture our day in ways we couldn't have ever imagined. You obviously weren't hiding away or you were doing some great camouflaging as we have photos and videos which we had no idea were been taken.

You are both such a joy, the loveliest, nicest and down to earth people you could want to meet and to have with you on this huge day.

As you know me and Scott are pretty unorganised, we're not super mushy with each other with being together for a lifetime already but you made it so easy for us to just relax and be ourselves and not worry about getting the picture perfect photo... Although you captured these and more.

We only have our sneak peak photos and we are absolutely In love. We already have the most special photos of our family to cherish and look back on.

We can't ever redo our wedding again but thank goodness we have what you two created to look back on for the rest of our lives.

Joanna and Nathan could not have given us a better maternity shoot! From the moment we got in touch with them we knew that we could totally trust them to capture our precious moments with our baby bubba before he arrives. Ahhh. I don’t know where to start!

Joanna and Nathan are just such a blast to be around and were a HUGE part of our wedding. We feel so honoured to have had them there to capture our special day.

Nathan and Joanna were both lovely and professional from the word go. From asking if there was anything extra that they could bring to make us feel comfortable such as drinks, music and blankets to asking about specific shots that we would like to capture on the day. They truly had it all covered.

On the day it felt like having two best friends by our side. We were slightly nervous about the thought of being on camera throughout the day but we honestly couldn’t have felt any more relaxed when it came to it. We were allowed to just explore and take everything in whilst Joanna and Nathan captured those natural moments. Joanna also had some wonderful ideas to get a full range of different shots. Knowing my love for all things vintage, they even took some Polaroid shots which were such a lovely, instant memory of the day.

As promised, Joanna and Nathan sent some Sneaky Peaks the very next day. I was just expecting a couple of photos but there was such a large variety and even a short trailer of the film created by Nathan. This was the perfect way to share the news of our elopement with family and friends! So many happy tears were shed over the film. I honestly can’t believe how well the photos and film have captured the love and emotion of the day. We will always treasure them.

We have already had some people ask about our day - especially the photos - and as much as I want to keep these lovelies to myself, I’ve had to tell them to contact Joanna and Nathan, as well as Ella Mai Elopements to get booked in!

We are so blessed to have met you and we will have to arrange for an adventure shoot with you guys in the future!

Joanna Eliza Photography is hands down the best vendor we worked with throughout our wedding- and quite possibly the best business we’ve ever bought a service from! From the very start Joanna’s communication was impeccable- any moment we needed advice, had questions or wanted to run something by her she was always at the end of a facetime call (even if it wasn’t photography related!!)

Joanna had thought of everything and spent time planning logistics and shots we wanted so that the day ran without a glitch. Getting group pictures is usually something I dread at a wedding, waiting whilst someone tries to find your uncle for the family snap is not what you want to do on your wedding day. Joanna had this all covered thought through and had enlisted the best man to round up the people we wanted- it was the simplest set of wedding photos I’ve ever seen!

One of the most special parts of our day was getting an hour away from everyone to allow everything to sink in, during this time Joanna and Nathan created such a relaxed atmosphere and really captured us as ourselves.

In terms of after the wedding- well we woke up the next morning with a sneak peak of beautifully edited photos in our inbox- I was concerned for Joanna’s lack of sleep! But it was so special to have a few photos right after the day to look at!

As for the photos, they speak for themselves; they are utterly beautiful and have captured the most important memories of our lives which we will look back on in 50 years’ time!

We are so glad we opted for videography too for our day, as we were only allowed 30 people at our wedding, we wanted to have something we could share with the rest of our guests. Nathan created a stunning video of our day capturing so much of what we wanted to remember. Nathan and Joanna were both so flexible with all of our changing of plans and Nathan worked so hard to turn our video around so quickly share with our guests.

It's Thanksgiving over here today, and we're both relaxing at home, enjoying the much needed rain. We're so happy we were able to capture these moments on our vacation. We absolutely loved Scotland, and we hope to go back soon.
