Brandon & Mimi | Scottish Highlands Elopement

Had the honour of teaching at Reagan Elaine Photography’s Scotland Retreat and as part of it she asked me to co-direct a styled elopement session to go along with my education portion of the Retreat.

An early morning wake up call followed by a roadtrip & hike out to this gorgeous spot. Truly do adore getting to teach at workshops & work with the most incredible people! The night before this I’d done my education portion of the retreat & so as we stepped into this styled shoot we wanted to make sure we allowed this experience to flow in as honest and natural a way as possible - implementing some of the things we’d chatted about the night before! We took a step back, we observed & we let Mimi & Brandon just soak up the adventure offering gentle direction here & there!

People are often quite surprised when I say we don’t really say much during an elopement - for me it’s less about direction and poses and more about soaking up the experience, being present & just going on an adventure! So it was really beautiful getting to tap into that a little bit during this styled session!
